Alongside Yelena, master permanent makeup artist Nancy Akbari (founder of Cosmetics by Banou and Banou Academy in Beverly Hills) brings 25+ years of experience and a specialty in melanin-safe, natural-looking permanent makeup to every client who sits in her chair.

Nancy Akbari


Master PMU Artist and Trainer


Nancy Akbari is the founder of Cosmetics by Banou and Banou Academy in Beverly Hills and a Master PMU Artist and Trainer with 25+ years of experience and thousands of microblading procedures completed. 


With a nursing background and a Persian artistry lineage, Nancy combines medical knowledge with artistic precision to create hyper-realistic, customized brows. She is certified in advanced PMU techniques, with a focus on melanin-safe protocols, and uses medical-grade, organic, hypoallergenic pigments and sterilized, single-use tools. Her meticulous approach helps enhance each client’s natural features while prioritizing safety and facial symmetry.
